Company doctor – Occupational safety specialist (FASI) – Support models

According to DGUV regulation 2, your statutory accident insurance provides for care for your company by both a company doctor and an occupational safety specialist (FASI).
A distinction must be made between basic care services and company-specific support.
The Basic care involves the implementation of occupational safety in the company. This includes risk assessments, inspections, occupational safety committee meetings and much more.
Company-specific support includes additional tasks that arise from special threats or events in your company.

Care models

You use the support of the company doctor and occupational safety specialist to prepare and update the risk assessment at least every 3 years and at any time as required in accordance with the requirements of DGUV regulation 2 Appendix 1 (to § 2 paragraph 2) or Appendix 4 (to Section 2 Paragraph 4 Sentence 2).
  • Companies with up to 50 employees

You use the support of the company doctor and occupational safety specialist based on needs and occasions. Here are Specifications of DGUV Regulation 2 (Appendix 3 to Section 2 Paragraph 4 Sentence 1) must be observed.

The prerequisite is a one-off business training course (can be delegated), e.g. B. via your statutory accident insurance.

You continuously use the support of the company doctor and occupational safety specialist in accordance with DGUV Appendix 2 (to Section 2 Paragraph 3).

The operating times within basic care are specified by DGUV regulation 2 and depend on the size and type of operation (assignment to the operation types and care groups: WZ list ).

When dividing the times between company doctors and occupational safety specialists, a minimum share of 20% of basic care, but not less than 0, is required .2 hours per year per employee, for each service provider.
